Kalmar introduces new levels of services to optimise customers' business performance

2013 Press

CARGOTEC CORPORATION, PRESS RELEASE, 25 JUNE 2013 AT 11 A.M. (EEST)

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has launched Kalmar Care - a new service contract concept, which brings enhanced flexibility, productivity and cost efficiency to customer operations.

Kalmar Care includes four different contract types that are standardised globally and across all customer segments. The contracts are modular and fully scalable and they cover everything from day to day support to meeting entire servicing and maintenance needs. Working in partnership with customers, Kalmar will assess each operation to recommend the right level of delivery to optimise each business.

The four contract levels are:

Kalmar Support Care - Kalmar supports the customer with on-demand maintenance services.
Kalmar Essential Care - Kalmar performs planned maintenance tasks proactively.
Kalmar Complete Care - Kalmar will meet the customer's full maintenance requirements.
Kalmar Optimal Care - Kalmar provides a complete asset management solution to the customer.

For each of these customer contract types, support and consistency is guaranteed worldwide through Kalmar's global service network, unrivalled spare parts supply chain and training.

Thomas Koskimaa, Senior Vice President at Kalmar Services said: "We recognise that in major industrial and terminal operations, every second is critical. Any break in the chain can have significant cost consequences. Maintenance services have been an essential part of Kalmar's business already for a long time but we now offer a clearly defined range of servicing options so that customers can keep their business on the move exactly on their terms and with better cost predictability."

Kimmo Kallioniemi, Vice President, Service Operations at Kalmar added: "Kalmar Care can be integrated into any size of business and any brand or type of equipment, based exactly on the level of support required. Access to this superior support allows a flexible business model, reduces tied up capital and will increase overall productivity through greater equipment availability."

Kalmar Care is being introduced at TOC Europe 2013 exhibition in Rotterdam on 25-27 June. To learn more, please visit Kalmar stand B22.
